Bass

The Bass & Co Brewery was established by William Bass in 1777 and Bass Cask Ale is a long established British favourite. So much so that the Bass Red Triangle is one of the world`s oldest logos and was the first trademark to be registered in Britain.

Courage Best

A part of the Courage family and a beer with over 200 years of brewing pedigree. Pale brown in appearance with a bitter after taste, Courage Best Bitter consumers enjoy its lower ABV of 4% that allows them the opportunity to enjoy their favourite ale for longer. Quality, consistency and great taste - all vital ingredients of Courage Best.

Other Cask Ales

We also carry Otter Head (5.8%), Fullers London Pride (4.1%), Greene King Ipa (3.6%), Old Speckled Hen (4.5%), Taunton Ale (3.9%), Taunton Castle (4.3%), Taunton Gold (4.5%) and Taunton Mayor (5%).

Otter Ale

This is the beer that started it all. The head of the stable. A premium beer`s alcohol content should always be high enough to enable a perfect balance with flavour and aroma. Otter Ale is a very well balanced beer that delivers the flavours of quality floor malted barley and finishes with a combination of fruit and some bitterness. Its nose is a balance of malt and fruit.

Otter Bitter

Otter Bitter is our session beer. We understand the importance of keeping those customers who prefer lower gravity beer satisfied - Otter Bitter does just that. It is a beautifully light and fruity beer with good hoppy bitterness. It leaves a refreshing bitterness which prompts the next gulp. A wonderful, old fashioned beer. Brewed for drinking with no frills.

Otter Bright

In the past we brewed Otter Bright only in the summer. With the new dawn of interest in cask beer, it is perfectly positioned as a great beer for `new age drinkers` who are discovering cask ale. It is so pale that it can easily be mistaken for lager and it delivers a great bitter citrus flavour with lots of fizz. A cool cellar temperature will add to its refreshing qualities. Now brewed year round Otter Bright is a favourite amongst the thirty somethings!
